Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of every thriving society. It empowers voices to be heard, ideas to be tested, and truth to emerge. Without it, freedom itself cannot survive. But that freedom was disrupted Sept. 10, 2025, when American conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. In his honor, may we continue to fight for and cling to freedom of speech everywhere and protect that right for everyone, regardless of their political beliefs.
