After a long, arduous journey through the tough terrain of the Alleghany Mountains, George Washington told the French to vacate the Ohio River Forks in the name of Britain. His return with their answer was through icy waters and treacherous wilderness, but at the ripe old age of 21, his courage earned him the place of lieutenant colonel in His Majesty's army.
